One Sun for All

Inspired by the Latin proverb ‘Sol Omnibus Lucet’ the exhibition acts as a fragmented narrative of the human condition under the sun, while stressing the importance of equal rights for every human being to access common goods. Margellos installs ‘The Sun’ embroidery as a centerpiece of the gallery while the series ‘Facing the Sun’ are placed across it, establishing a visual dialogue and placing the viewer right at the center of it. Thus the titles of the individual works in the installation ‘One Sun for All’ have both an interpretative and directional quality to them.
